Now you can make money on instagram??…I’m just wow’d by the concept itself, let alone making a living with it. Who on earth thought this little baby through??
Seriously! A place where people post pictures and videos all day! I can’t say it’s not a friggin’ brilliant idea, I just wish I would have thought of it myself!
The guys who dreamt this up are making a killing!
So who are these super geniuses’ who took social media to the next level?
Wikipedia says two guys by the name of Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger were the creators of this online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, social networking service that lets its users take pictures and videos and share them on other social networking platforms like ( no surprise) Facebook.
Speaking of Facebook… after Instagram’s raise to over 300 million + active users, Facebook managed to swoop them up in 2012 for just shy of 1 billion in cash and stock!
Did I say I wished I had come up with this ridiculously simple idea?!
Ok, enough dwelling on the past…Let’s get down to the nitty- gritty!
Did you ever wonder if you could make money on Instagram?
Oh, what…? You didn’t know you could actually make money on Instagram? Join the club! I just learn this tid- bit of info from a crash course that I recently took on Instagram for business. I didn’t really expect to get anything out of it. My plan was to take what I learned and teach it to my clients who kept asking me about it.
It was better than I though!
So now, I’m going to give you the quick version on how to get started. If you want to learn more, you can take the same course I took, so stay tuned…
How To Make Money On Instagram | Attract Followers
First and foremost, you have to build up a solid following. I’m sure this isn’t a surprise since this is the criteria for most social media platforms that promise to help build your biz.
Accomplishing this task is not too difficult. Start by posting great photos, commenting on other people’s photos, following others, sharing your photos on other social media accounts, etc. The one thing I wouldn’t do is purchase Instagram likes and follows. That stuff never works and can cause you more harm than good in the long run.
Make Money On Instagram Using Hashtags
Like Twitter, hashtags are probably going to be your most useful tool on Instagram because they connect you to other people and other topics. Using hashtags is almost an art form since you want them to be relevant to your photo while at the same time being fairly broad so the hashtags show up in tons of searches. Now, even though it might be hip to make up a cool hashtag with your biz name etc., I wouldn’t recommend it. Stick with relevant key words to attract your ideal client, you’ll see better results.
Purpose of hashtags? To get more eyes on you and ultimately your products and services.
Setting Up Your Instagram Account
Just like every other app or social media platform, people need to know who you are and what you do. Make sure you fill out your bio with all the correct info. Make sure to add appropriate links to your website or affiliate products. Add some quality key words along with a tag line so people know if they vibe with you and your service or opportunity if you happen to be in an MLM or Direct Sales biz.
Super simple, right?
Make Money on Instagram with Affiliate Products
If you want to start generating some income on Instagram, make sure to have quality images that are branded to you and your business. And, post as often as you can. This shouldn’t be too hard because you can do this directly from your mobile device.
Next, you obviously gotta have a product to sell or some kind of business opportunity for those network marketers out there to showcase.
The #1 reason people don’t make money on Instagram is because they don’t have a product or don’t know what to sell.
If that’s the case with you, why not partner up with an affiliate marketing company that you like and that’s related to your niche. Affiliate products are an awesome way to bring in some income while you’re creating your own products or just want to make some extra cash on the side.
There’s a trick to this money making thing, so listen up.
Don’t just put a bunch of your affiliate links with a picture of the product in Instagram and expect to start getting a slue of clicks. You still need to develop a relationship with the other Instagram users. Instead add related images that lead up to getting your product. Remember, know matter what social media platform you are marketing on, you should be adding at minimum, 60 percent value and 40 percent marketing. Once you start developing a following with your awesome content people will be contacting you to buy your products.
